Pic-a-lily Floristry is a unique floral design lead by seasoned florist, Nichola Greenwood.
Based in Wakefield, Nichola began her career over 16 years ago. With a love for flowers and gardening, she enrolled on a course at Wakefield college, with the sole intent to be a hobby florist. However as with all talented individuals, the 'hobby' soon became a career path and Nichola went on to study in Leeds on a Level 2 & 3 advanced floristry course. Trusted by friends, family and colleagues to flower for their special events, Nichola took the leap and created Pic-a-lily.
Nichola's sweet spot has always been flowering weddings, as this is where her friendly approachable nature fits perfectly. Her previous couples have all commented on Nichola's personal and affable approach and how lovely she has been to deal with! Working from her studio workshop, she utilises local flower suppliers to fulfil her customers requirements.
Nichola's favourite part of a wedding day is the build up of any arches, table settings etc and seeing the venue complete, stating 'I love seeing the finished product come together!'
Upon booking Nichola, you will secure your date with a deposit, and she will keep in regular contact with you in the run up to your special day. Her door is always open for any questions, requests or just to discuss your day! The final meeting will be held 4 weeks prior to the day, to finalise all details and she will personally liaise with your venue for all set-up arrangements.
Pic-a-lily is recommended across Yorkshire, including being featured at venues such as Denroyd Farm, and the soon-to-be reopened 3 Acres. Nichola does cover the whole of Yorkshire and further afield, and really enjoys visiting new venues across the county. Her 2025 calendar is mostly filled, but she does have some Autumn availability, with her 2026 diary now also open.
