The importance of wedding stationery

As a 2025 bride-to-be, I am now in the process of putting together ideas for our wedding stationery, including save the dates, and on-the-day stationery.

Wedding stationery as a whole, sets the tone for your day and it is the initial hint at your colour scheme and/or theme for your intended guests. Your stationery is the first and last thing your guests will see, and it is a powerful way to set the tone for how your wedding will look and feel. Your stationery helps to share information about you as a couple too, including your personalities and your story.

The invitation is one of the most important items you will need, whether you make them fun or formal. Invitations include the host of the wedding (the couple, or their parents, both families, etc.), the couples names, wedding date and time, venue name, and other important details including accommodation, travel etc, for your guests.

Initially it is very easy to think 'oh I can create this myself online', because lets face it, there is now an abundance of 'templates' readily available, but once you see the talent within the Yorkshire wedding industry, the type of creativity that can be found, we are in the opinion that 'doing it yourself' just doesn't quite cut it!

The varying styles, the different types of material, the gorgeous colours and the many items that can be created for the actual day, we want it all! From save the dates, to table plans, menus to photo opportunities, favours to the order of service, a wedding stationer can expertly create items that tie together all aspects of your wedding and that will be cherished long after your special day finishes.

Features like the one we will be running on our Instagram stories this weekend, are a great way for Brides and Grooms-to-be to gain inspiration and find suppliers that can bring their ideas to life for their wedding creative! Don't miss it on Saturday 16th December!
